Newbie Problem starting off (4 posts)

    Hi,

    I just successfully installed WordPress, however I created a category and then placed a post in this category. The post works well when I view it from the home page. My problem is when I select the Category from the link in the left side of the page, I get just one paragraph from each post with an […] at the end. There is nothing to click to view the rest of the post, I might expect there to be. Just below that I see something like:

    Posted in CategoryName | Edit | No Comments »

    But the CategoryName link doesn't really do anything, clicking it brings me right back to the list of posts with one paragraph and the […] at the end.

    Is there a way to make the [...] go to the full post or am I missing something?

    That is because the default archive page uses the_excerpt, not the_content. I have seen a hack (read editing core-files) that converts the [...] to a link here somewhere so some searching should turn it up.
