my name is iain and i'll be your idiot for the day.
i would like my site users to only see another user's content if they have been permitted to do so.
similar to facebook's "accept friend" system
Does wordpress have the functionality to do this?

You could try looking for a role management plugin but I'm not sure if one exists that can do this.

I don't know if this is worth looking at, but Buddy Press might be a good bet. Not used it myself, though.
