As a newbie to WP I could use some clarity with certain area. Such as:
1. Pinging - I have the UP Smart Update Pinger plugin installed, which I prefer as I often (even after checking & rechecking) find I need to make some changes to the post... so in this respect I like it. ;-)
...So my question is when I make some major changes to a published post, the pinger by default will not ping...so how can I ping this particular page? For the pinger plugin by default only pings the home page when manually selecting the "ping" option.
2. Trackbacks - I think understand the overall concept of trackbacks, but I'm unsure how to interpret them in certain instances. Such as the trackback notices I receive when my content (with links to my website) is published on other people's websites. What is best practice here, should I approve the trackback, ignore it, or delete it?
