To install the plug-in on a Word Press site how, specifically, do we configure the password options in the Password Protected settings?

I uploaded the plugin through my WordPress admin and activated it via the admin window. The plugin is now appearing as “Activated”. However, when I load the site, the password-protection function does not kick in.

Could you tell me the steps involved in configuring the password options? Thanks.

    1. In the WordPress admin, in the left menu go to Settings > Password Protected
    2. Check the “Enabled” checkbox.
    3. Create a password by entering it twice in the fields provided
    4. Save Changes

If you left the “Allow Administrators” checkbox unchecked, if you now try to view the site it should prompt you to enter the password. If you check the “Allow Administrators” checkbox you will not be required to enter the password if you are already logged in to the admin.

If this doesn’t work for you it may be due to a caching plugin or if caching is implemented on your hosting (for example, if you use hosting such as WP Engine).
