    My web site is http://www.automobilize.com

I just downloaded/installed wordpress, but I have several How To questions that I cant seem to find in doing searches. Perhaps you can give me some good advice in a few areas I need some light shed. Im moving over from Coranto.

    1. I still dont quite understand how to add navigation links in WordPress. I dont see any menu where you add them. I see a Links area, but thats not really for navigation links, its for listing buddies or something. Im looking to add normal nav links like "About Us, Portfolio, Solutions, Contact" etc etc and when you click on those nav links, the URL goes to a page where you can put whatever you want in the "body".

    2. I have the blogging posts down, but how do you publish articles? I see where you can create a page, but in many of the themes Ive created, nothing on the home page will even link to them. There's no way to get to them. I need a "News" or "Articles" section where long-winded more formal pieces need to go.

    3. Ive noticed on many themes Im trying, most of them do not have the "posted by" in the blog posts. Is this some feature thats turned off? Obviously Id want this to be functional as we may have many people posting.

    4. In many themes, I see areas called "Links" and "Navigation", but I see nowhere in the control panel where you can add to these. Its like they exist, but I cant find the list anywhere to edit it. In one theme alone, they reference "links.php" or "sidebar.php" but I go there and i dont see any of the links listed that are already being used by default.

Im sure I will have more questions, but these seem to be slowing me down the most at the moment -- just getting some semblence of a workable wordpress site operational.

Are there any people on here who are pros at this? I have a need for adding galleries for photo and video, among other things and Id be willing to throw a little play money to someone who could take our site idea and develop it. Perhaps based closely off of someone else's theme or idea?

    1. You want to look at Pages.
    2. Might need a different theme. The WordPress Default 1.6 displays Page titles as links.
    3. That's dependent on the theme using something such as the template tag, the_author. Also see Stepping into Template Tags.
    4. Administration > Blogroll > Manage Blogroll is where you 'manage' the links.
