    Hi Everyone,

I am trying to get wordpress to work on my website http://www.only450.com . I had to manually upload each directory and file to my server. When I enter this command http://only450.com/wp-admin/install.php

    nothing happens.

    Should I just give up?

If you have File Manager on the server side, you may want to upload the zip version of WP and decompress it there.

Thanks, I don't believe my server ahs the capability. I originally downloaded the ZIP file to my hard drive and then uploaded to my server. I couldn't find a way to unzip the file on the server. My server only allows uploading files and creating directories. Sadly, I spent almost 4 hours uploading files and creating directories, I thout everything was done correctly. It's funny, it seems like it should give an error message or something, instead it does nothing.

did you upload the files within a new directory or leave them in the wordpress directory?
    so it would be http://only450.com/wordpress/wp-admin/install.php

    Hi Everyone,

Good news, thank you for your efforts. I learned how to uncompress the zip file on my server. I then noticed it installed everything in the wordpress directory. I was then able to install wordpress.

Now I just need to learn how to use it.

Thanks again for everyones help and good will.

Also, has anyone ver used free content to post on thier blog?

    Thanks again, Bob
