    I'm newbie before have domain name, rent a hosting and set-up WordPress. I'm confusing to set-up WordPress Multisite to startup my on-line store. Hope someone can help me.

    I would like to have 2 website:
    1. http://www.multibrandstore.com was selling multi brands;
    2. http://www.speicaltybrandstore.com was selling specialty brand (brand from http://www.multibrandstore.com) and willing linking to http://www.multibrandstore.com as a "speicalty site"

    Does http://www.specialtybrandstore.com need parked domain? or addon domain? or domain mapping? or just create new site(network) from multisite admin?

    Thousand Thanks!

  2. it needs to be both parked AND mapped :)

    Park the domain on your server, so if you go to specialitybrandstore.com you end up at multibrandstore.com (this is OUTSIDE of WP).

    In WP, create a new site multibrandstore.com/speciality/ and make sure it works :)

    Now in WP, add in a domain mapping plugin and map specialitybrandstore.com to that /speciality/ site.

    Drink to celebrate how cool you are.

    Hi Ipstenu,

    Ooh! Luck fund to build 2 online store (Lots of WooCommerce extension and eCommerce compliance addon).

    Refer to previous discussion, is that possible build the specialtybrandstore.com in primary domain than switch to parked domain (because specialtybrandstore's social media networks had well developed)?

    Thanks!

  5. Yes, just don't map the domain till you're ready :)

    Hi Ipstenu,

    Sorry bother you again, is that possible domain mapping if I using Bluehost's shared hosting?

  7. You would want to ask BlueHost that. I think so, but I don't work for or use them.
