   Hey everyone!

   I'm totally new to blogging and new to WordPress. I'm hoping to start my fly fishing blog soon.

   I'm starting a fly fishing apparel and soft goods business and I hope to use my blog to keep customers informed and entertained. (If they check out my commerce site that's even better but I don't want the blog to be an advertisement!)

   I was just wondering if anybody had any advise for a "new guy" just starting his blog. Any good books or articles I should read?

   The book I buy for my clients is "WordPress for Dummies" Second Edition by Lisa Sabin-Wilson. It's not perfect, but WordPress has changed so much in the last couple of years that its 2009 publication date really helps.

   Of the documentation on this site, and the external articles it references, covers a lot more ground than a Dummies book ever could. It starts here: http://codex.wordpress.org/Main_Page
