    Hello folks,

I swear I have gone through a lot of help threads & tried many things but I'm starting to lose hope. Please feel free to laugh at the problem that I'am about to explain.

    I started a wordpress.com account.
Realized I needed a wordpress.org one (mainly for plugin/template reasons).
Went about getting a wordpress.org by creating a new blog (through wordpress.com) with the .ORG ending added to it. Gave myself a pat on the back because I thought it was done.
Realised I was still on wp.com. Got a server (iPage). Pointed the site to it.
Installed WordPress through iPage, using their simplescripts page. And I'm still quite sure I'm using wp.com and not wp.org because I can't install plugins or add external themes...

I feel that this problem is too basic/silly/particular that hasn't been covered in other threads.

It would be very helpful if I could help on this. Thanks a great deal.

Who have you opened your hosting package with and can you access server to view wp folder
Can you explain "pointed your site to it"?

    That was fast! Thanks.

Ummm, not too sure what you mean be opening the hosting package. I have accessed my account with the host and I have accessed the server through the FileManager.

I'm really sorry if this is too basic.

No worries ! Can you see wp folders in root ?
have you set db name and pass in wp config.php
These are db details not wp can get these from host
    What is your URL?
    Try mysite.com/ wp-admin
    Read wp installation in codex
    Or if folder mysite.com/foldername/wp-admin
