   I am new to WordPress and have been thrown into something pretty advanced.

   We have two sites that are running from one WordPress install and who ever set this up before me sort of made a mess of things. I've been asked to separate these sites into two different directories, each with it's own instance of WordPress. I know there is WordPress MU, but they prefer this route.

   I have set up a virtual server and copied each site into it's own directory and I have the clean download of WordPress waiting to be uploaded, one in each site directory. However I need to uninstall and disassociate these two sites from their current WordPress installs and I have no idea how to properly do this.

   Any who can give me any help would be SO greatly appreciated!!

   Oh and FYI...the actual sites that are out there are still controlled by that control panel so I can't mess with anything from the existing control panel because I'd be messing with the real thing. :(
