    Hi,

I have a database from my previous installation of wordpress but I do not have the wordpress files. Now I try to install a new wordpress and use the existing database.

I modified wp-config to conect to the existing database but when I tried to run the installation script it told me wordpress is already installed.

When I try to see my website it shows me a blank page.
What do I have to do?

    Thank you,
    Radu

You might want to try exporting your MySQL database entirely using something like PHPMyadmin, then installing WordPress fresh on a new database and importing the database contents into the new one.

    These resources should help:

Is your previous DB from the same WP version you are trying to install?

The reason I asked is that the database structure often changes between versions!!

Very good point t-p, make sure that if you do a fresh install, you are using the same version. You can find old versions here: http://wordpress.org/download/release-archive/
