   WordPress tells me that I need to upgrade Akismet but it always fails or it sits 'Enabling Maintenance Mode' (or something similar) for hours. When I try to install RSS Importer 0.2 my WordPress says 'unpacking the package...' for hours then also does nothing.

   Any ideas?
