new version of wordpress messed up my theme…

    Just created and loaded a new theme. I’ve been working in wp for years and with no problems. Something is weird with wp 2.8.6 where my design is messed up. I use a table with rows for certain elements in my theme and now there’s a bunch of space between the rows. I have tried a variety of different doc types and none have fixed this. I know the trend is to use all css, but I’ve found it simpler sometimes to use tables judiciously.

    Please help…

    You need to start learning how to use CSS asap. Using tables for layout purposes is outmoded and flat out wrong – especially since all modern browsers now support CSS 1 &2. Some even support some CSS3!

    Changing the DOCTYPE won’t help. Validating your pages might though…
