• Hi,
I have a blog http://searchingforthehappiness.com that uses Jetpack. I have been having a problem for several months now where I will get emails about new registered users on my blog (as many as 10 in a day) but my follower count has not changed to reflect these new users. My follower count has stayed static since I switched over from wordpress.com Can you suggest anything I could do?

    Thanks so much,
    Wendy

as this is a JetPack issue – so they’ll be the ones to help you with it.

Also, I don’t think you can have followers on a .ORG site – that may be only possible on .COM sites…

My site is a .com site. It shows that I have over 500 subscribers. The amount increased for about a month after switching to a .com and then it hasn’t gone up since. It’s weird because if you look at the list of followers it will show some new followers a day or two ago. But the number doesn’t go up and the emails I get about new registered users never shows up anywhere on my blog.

Here is an example of an email I just received:

New user registration on your site Searching For The Happiness:

    Username: Susan

    E-mail: kavanahgo@hotmail.com

Your site is not hosted on WordPress.COM (looks like it’s on iPage) – and I think “followers” are only possible on WordPress.COM hosted sites because WordPress.COM sites are part of a network…

But in any case, this is a JP question and I see you’ve posted there – I’m sure they’ll get back to you.
