I just installed wordpress few days back and when i made it online for my users i came to know about problem faced by every single user.
When ever a new user try to register on the blog it says that password will be sent to you by e-mail. But e-mail which is supposed to be sent immediately by the system, was not sent even after 2-3 days. That means new users are registering on blog but they are not getting their passwords as they it required to log in.
Please help. Tell me where i have done wrong or any step if i missed post or pre installation.
You probably didn't miss anything... your host might missed to set up the mail function.
There are hundreds of posts about it - try a search around here.
EDIT. Tell your registrants to check their mail again! I just registered a minute ago and the mail arrived. (Please, go and delete my account: it's a Canadian yahoo address)

i maself tested it. I also registered yesterday but no e-mail received till now. When ever a user register on site i get a mail on admin account that this user <username> has registered with this e-mail <e-mail add>. But there is no use of sending mail to me. The user who is creatin is new account not getting any confirmation mail.
There is one thing more. I m running a forum to. It's a vbulletin. And when ever a user register over there he get confirmation mail immediately. the forum is also on same host. And i have around 16,700 users registered on forum and never received any compaint that they didn't got the activation link.
Please suggest me something
