3.Not sure what you want here. Straightforward is to upload file and tie link to image/icon.
I thank both of you for your response, but I still am lost with regard to my #1.
I downloaded the “image browser” plug-in, installed and activated it. But when it comes up, it says that it is unable to find an image. The “readme” says to make sure that the fileupload path and URI are set up correctly, but it gives no hint as to what the correct setup might be.
Using FTP, I looked at WP-CONTENT/UPLOADS and verified that both the full size and thumbnail jpg files are present. I tried to use image browser with the jpg files in the UPLOADS folder, and also in UPLOADS/2003/03, but it says it cannot find the uploads.
I went to the “WP for beginners” section of the documentation and reviewed “Using images.” It says there is a Quicktag button featuring an image link, but I cannot find such a Quicktag button.
Moshu, when I followed your link for the video tutorial, I got a 404.
It seems to me that most of the WP documentation stops one step short of full implementation; for instance, when it says to make sure something is set up correctly but then doesn’t define the correct setup. Very frustrating.
samboll, with regard to my #3, I want to learn HOW to “tie link to image/icon.” I have no idea how to do this.
#1 – unresolved
#2 – resolved
#3 – unresolved
Thanks again for your patience with a rank newbie.

Sorry, I didn’t notice the file is gone 🙁
I don’t use that plugin, so I can’t say anything about it.
Quicktags are visible ONLY if you disable the annoying wysiwyg editor!
As for image size: after uploading an image and clicking on it, it will display a menu. Clicking on different menu items (e.g. Using thumb) will toggle other options, e.g. Using original… etc.
Is it correct if I understand, you just want MP3 on your site?
Yes? When you use a icon, you can make the icon a link to the MP3 on your server. It just works the same as using a word as a link. I use that on my own site for mp3, software, and other downloads.
I’m another new user with an upload problem today. No images are uploading correctly – just get the box with the red x…sorry for the rookie question, but this bug just popped up for me today. Any idea of a fix? Thanks, L
