   I want to edit the sidebar.php file under the theme The Morning After but the below is showing underneath....

   "You need to make this file writable before you can save your changes. See the Codex for more information."

   ...i have visited the codex and I just dont understand! How can I make this file writable so I can make changes?

   Total newbie - any help most appreciated!

   Try changing the permissions on the wp-content/themes/the-morning-after directory to 766. If you still have problems, try 767, 775 or 777.

   I don't understand how to change permissions -- where do you find these codes?
