So, I’ve just installed WordPress on our server, and I’m currently poking around with the design of the page. I don’t really know much about this stuff – I’m just a summer student hired through a federal grant program to do office management for the Society (not-for-profit, no other paid employees).
Basically my question is: Is it at all possible to get rid of the comments box? We don’t really want people to comment on anything. I unchecked “Allow people to post comments on new articles” in settings, but the comments form is still showing up for me. This is the site address: http://fhsnl.ca/fhsnl2010/
If anyone could help that would be great. I’m in over my head here, but basically nobody else at the Society even knows what WordPress is, let alone has any idea of what to do with it.
