new to WP – question about templates/ thems

    I have a website that I want to convert over to WP Lynn Arts If you look at the site you’ll see that each category (about, classes, events, etc) has a distinct side navigation on the right side. Can this be done in WP? Would I create a theme/ template for each category? I’m not sure what to do. I’d appreciate any help. WP looks like it would make a good fit for this website.

    Yes it can be done with WordPress and no you wont have to creat a theme. There are thousands of free themes that you can use and they come pre-configured with with all of your requirements.

    If its not there it can easily be intergrated via a plugin or some code in the theme templates.

    I believe WordPress will do an awesome job for such a website 🙂

    Thanks for the reply. Can you point me toward some good tutorials or should I just start with the WP site and go from there?

    You are most welcome.

    The best tutorial site there is as far as I can see is Figaro’s http://educhalk.org/blog/ and its totaly free. I’m sure you can’t go much wrong by following his tutorials and advice 🙂
