New to WordPress

    I purchased a website off eBay but I can not seem to upload it and make it work. I am not real savay with this stuff but the seller says it is simple. Well maybe so, but I am lost and could use some very detailed setup instructions, anyone tell me where to find them? Dave

    Well I’m not sure what you mean by purchasing a website off of eBay – is it a wordpress theme?

    If so, you first need to get some web hosting. For my wordpress blogs, I use BlueHost: [no affiliate links!]

    They have an easy wordpress installation you can learn about here:
    http://tutorials.bluehost.com/wordpress/

    Then, once you have the basic blog installed, you can upload your theme and go into the admin section of your blog to select it:
    http://codex.wordpress.org/Using_Themes

    Yes it is a theme that I bought. Hosting I have and wordpress is installed on it. I have all the files uploaded but it is not working as it should. The address is http://www.fallc.org maybe a look would give you an idea what is wrong. If you look here http://www.biddigi.com/windsolarpower/

    you will need to enable the featured content gallery plugin
    add some categories
    add some posts to those categories
    choose which ones to display on home page
    admin – appearance – revolution options

    the video – look in
    admin – appearance – widgets
    make sure the width is correct

    I have bluehost. had a them Truang.Could not make it do what I wanted. Just switched.
    Result my site is showing half of Truang and half of Jestro! can’t get to the adnin to do it again
    so i am stuck.
    Can you help?? please.

    bbusutil
    ftp to site or use host’s file manager and rename the 2 themes – this will bring up default theme so you can log in
