   Hi,

   I have just uploaded a new template, this went well. But when i go and change the template the old template stays there. it is under the new one. How do i get Rid of the old one??

   Not sure what you mean by template. Usually a template is one file under a theme. In the case of the WordPress Default theme, wp-content/themes/default/single.php is a template.

   But if you are talking about a theme, you would use an FTP client such as Filezilla to delete the whole theme folder in the wp-content/themes folder. Or your host may offer a 'file manager' where you could do the same thing.

   Sorry you have lost me a bit with this the difference between a template and theme. I have uploaded the Default theme yesterday "wp-content/themes/default/single.php", and today i uploaded ??Template-??theme. i am not to saw what the differences is, i just followed what is on becomingablogger.com.

   Sorry but i dint understand what you mean when you say...Usually a template is one file under a theme..
   
   So at the moment the Default theme is under the one that i just put up.

   Does this help a bit more, please ask as many question as you need, so that i can fix this. Thanks

   Not sure what you followed on the site you posted as there doesn't seem to be any content on that site at all.

   Have a look at:
   http://codex.wordpress.org/Using_Themes

   If you want to change the entire look of your blog/site you need to change the theme. If you want to make changes to the layout of certain pages you change a template.

   I think you are probably mean themes when you mention templates. After uploading a new theme you have to make it active in admin.

   You do not need to remove unused themes from the themes folder.

   I have to say, this WordPress.org, is the best. You Guys and Girls are always there. For a free service, This has just blown my mind. All of the top Affiliate have always said that you are the best, but i didn't expect this. I have been to paid sites/forums, and not once have I been looked after like this. I would just like to say THANK YOU so so much, with all of my heart.
