    Hi,
I installed WP 3.0 and I follow all the instructions (modifying wp-config.php and .htaccess), to activate the network functionality on subdomains.
Now when I try to create a new site (a blog) in the superadmin panel it says that it's OK, but I don't find anything.
In the public part (the site) I have "Index of /" and in the private part (the wp-admin) I have 404 "Not Found".
I configured the DNS wildcard, I checked the DB tables added and they are OK.
    It's Liquidweb server with Centos.
    What should I check?
    Thanks!
    Paolo

The index of message implies that you created a subfolder for your site. Is that correct?

Are you using subfolders or subdomains?

I am using subdomains and I didn't create any folder.

  4. Double check there isn't a folder with the same name as your new subdomain out there.

When you made the wildcard DNS change, you just put in * for the alias via cPanel? I did that on my LiquidWeb box and it was fine, though I'm on a VPS. No idea what that does on Shared...

No folder out there. But I have another installation of WPMU and I also have no folder for the different blogs...
I change the DNS in my domain registrar panel, not in Liquidweb panel (the server is not shared).

  6. You also have to do it in the webhost control panel so the server knows where to send the request.

That's it! I got it! It works!
    Thanks a lot!
