This is my first attempt at any kind of website. So far, with some help, it has been relatively easy. I modified the 3 column Grass template by Dikiwinky and haven't screwed it up too bad. Going to keep plugging along. Hopefully will be able to put Adsense in there soon. Let me know what you think.

A less bright green for the background would be much easier on the eyes, IMHO. :)

    Does that look better?

Truthfully, something neutral might be best, considering the green in the header image, and the text boxes, if you want to stick with green, something pale, so there's some contrast (just my humble opinion.)

Out of boredom, I made one with some drop shadow, so as to help contrast the background from the main content section. Use if you'd like, if not no harm.

rckymtnglfr, your new background is certainly easier on the eyes. :)

Thanks for taking the time miklb to make a new background. I like the idea of something more pale. The one you made sort of clashed with the neon green. I may change that later. Still playing around. What about this?

And how do you post a link in the forum without it showing the link?

It's all personal preference. As far as the posting question, same as you would in a post on your blog, with HTML, ie the <a href> tag.
If you find a color you like, and you want to give main section drop shadow, much like this forum page has, drop me an email at wp@miklb.com, and I'll make it for you.

I would go for a light green all over the site for this golf-theme... Something a-la http://www.templatemonster.com/website-templates/8260.html (for your inspiration and ideas) :)

    Regards, MaxT
