Hi, I started with WordPress couple of months ago and needed a simple contact form but with good spam protection, something similar to the comments form. Tried a few plugins that worked good, but were a bit too "heavy weight", bringing sepatate filtering, field verification and anti-spam methods that already exist in WP.
So I made a page template that uses the comments routine but for contact form. Eventually I needed more options and had to turn the template into a plugin :)
Essentially this plugin lets visitors post comments to a password protected page and lets the blog's admin read these messages when logged in. Of course it can also send emails to the admin's address. All the processing and spam protection is done by WP, including all anti-spam plugins. It's been tested with Akismet, SK2 and Bad Behavior.
