   Hello! =D

   When a new user registers, they are unable to login with the username and password from their confirmation email. If I login as an admin I can see the user is there with a subscription role. But, if I change the password via the dashboard they can log in no problem. I've tried deactivating all plugins as well as clearing all cache and cookies and attempting on IE, FF, Chrome, and Safari to no avail. I have also tried restoring from a older database thinking that the tables may of somehow been corrupted.

   Can anyone point me in the right direction to resolve this issue?

   I am having an issue with new user sign up as well. The user signs up and gets the message about the email being sent, but no email ever shows up. My hosting provider doesn't have anything disabled... Any ideas?

   Just to clarify, on my end the users ARE getting their registration email. However, they are not able to login with that information or retrieve their password.

   Hey Shane!

   Thank you for the link, however I went through these options before I posted this initially. It is interesting though, because only new users are unable to login, unless I manually go in and change their password. Also, when a newly registered user goes to retrieve their password it doesn't recognize the user name OR the email address although it is visible in the backend...

   I am having the same issue.
   Anybody can help?
   After upgrade to WP 2.9.2, I tried to create a new user as administrator and create the password. After received email for user name and password, tried to login. But it said the username and password invalid.

   Unless I retrieve password using feature "lost password" in wordpress, I will be able to login.

   Am I being hacked? Because before that I uploaded free theme. And the login problems started.
