New problem uploading photos to a post–Apache error

I’ve just experienced a new problem uploading an image to a new post I’m writing. I’m getting an Apache server error message:

“Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.
Please contact the server administrator and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.
More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

I suspect this may have something to do with an unsuccessful attempt to set up a version of my blog locally on my computer using MAMP. I was not able to get it to work but it does involve Apache server settings and I’m wondering if this may have messed up my basic wordpress uploading. I’ve trashed the MAMP application but still no good.

Any ideas would be most appreciated!
