I just migrated my previously working WordPress 1.2 installation to WordPress 1.5.2. The box everything is running on, I just built with all the latest supported versions of PHP, MySQL, Apache, etc. all running on Fedora Core 4. I first installed WP and set it up as if it were a brand new install. Then, I imported these tables from my previous WP install: wp_categories, wp_comments, wp_linkcategories, wp_links, wp_post2cat and wp_posts. All of my previous stuff imported without a problem. Next, I tried to write a post. What happens is that I can write up my post, but when I go to either publish or save it, it seems to disappear. I don't get an error in the 'write post' page, nor do I see any errors in my Apache logs. If I look at the database directly, my post is nowhere to be found. I have a sneaking suspicion that I have a permission problem somewhere. Or, that by importing my old tables into the new DB, I inadvertenly hosed something or left something out. I did not directly modify any of the stock WordPress files. The only think I did was install the 'Gila' theme and the 'SecureImage' plugin. Any pointers to get me going in the right direction would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
