   Let me start off by saying I am very new to WordPress. So throw a brick at me if I ask a dumb question.

   My question is "Does every post made end up on the homepage other than setting the post to private?"

   Example - if I make a post about sports....does everyone have to read it when they come to my blog or can I set that post just to show up under one of my categories?

   Thanks alot in advance for any help or comments !! (or bricks..heh)

   Under the default settings, anything you post goes on your front page. The only way to change that is to use a static front page or modify a template to do what you want.
