need to know why my new posts keep repeating. Help me please.

It may be a problem with your theme or a plugin. To determine if either is the cause, try switching themes and temporarily disabling plugins and seeing if the problem goes away.

BTW, I'd recommend getting rid of the black on black spam links in your footer before you get penalized by Google. These laughably phony "design credits" appear to have been slipped in there by the theme provider. They are probably found in the theme's footer.php.

not too stray from my original question...but I tried to remove the footer info like you said but it messed with my whole theme. It is all in a type of code...letters and numbers. What should I do about it.

And still need help with OP. I disabled the theme and it was ok, no triple posts. How do I narrow it down even further, I have done so much work to this theme.

It's difficult to say without seeing your template file, but your WP LOOP seems to be printing your most recent post 3 times in stead of pulling the 3 most recent posts.

This is the WP Loop in its basic format:

<?php endif; ?>
```
Are you running any special queries in your index.php file?

As for your your footer, try removing just the code inside the <p></p> tags and replacing with whatever you'd like.

Ok, so I've figured out what the issue is, you have "conflicting" calls.

In this line here:
<?php for($i=1;$i<4;$i++) : ?>

You're basically saying "i=1, and as long as i is less than 4, loop through and pull results."

While this line here:
query_posts('showposts=1&cat='.$latcat->cat_ID);

Is saying "query the post database and show me only one post from X category."

So, the question is, what are trying to do with your posts? Only show one, the most recent? Show the 3 most recent? Or show them 3 most recent from a specific category?

Regarding the triple posts:
Is your index.php loop setup to only display 1 post? Are there multiple loops all calling to the same category? Did you somehow limit/filter which posts your loop is showing?

Regarding the footer:
Hmm, maybe the theme's creator encrypted footer.php? That'd be strange...

If they did, you can easily remake it. Create a new footer.php that has 2 <div>'s with CSS that is something to the effect of:

I don't know reflex...I have done some changes but didn't (that I know of) touch the loop. How can I find out if the loop is setup correctly?

well I seemed to have things working thanks to dbmartin. I changed some of the values from what he pointed out and bingo.

I am still having issues with my footer. Gonna try and make a new one, I just hope that it does not mess the theme up.

i is just some variable (usually an integer) -- it can be anything you want, just as long as all 3 variables are the same. The line
```
for($i=1;$i<4;$i++) {
   //do stuff
}
```
reads as "Start with 1, and as long as it's less than 4, keep adding 1. While this is true, do stuff."

i++ is shorthand for i = i + 1 (which is the same as saying "Take the current value and add 1 to itself.")

So this for() statement will be looping through the values i=1, i=2, and i=3. (remember: less than, but not including 4!) and performing whatever you tell it to do (the "stuff").

@ritchiem Sorry for the delay in responding. I kept checking this post last night and did not see any new updates. Then all of a sudden, today here they are! Weird.

Checked out the site, glad to see you got things working the way you wanted. Your footer code seems to have been encrypted (like relflex suggested), so its nice to see you were able to come up with something else. I'm all for supporting theme authors, but I'm not for supporting spam links...

I found more spam links within the site after you pointed out that footer. Piss on that I said...gone! I changed the site so much from the initial theme...I couldn't believe that there was personal ad spams in there.
