[resolved] New Post Notification across Multisites (8 posts)

I've looked around for a good solution for this and haven't found any in a search for widgets or plugins. I'm running a multi-site install and what I want to do is, when one site gets a new post, having a link to that new post automatically show up in the other sites in the sidebar. That way people reading one blog will know to check out the others when a new post appears.

Has anyone found a way to do that easily? All of the plugins and widgets I've found either send post notification to people via RSS or e-mail, or only do it for the same blog that it's on.

    Thanks for any ideas!

  2. You want one of the most recent posts widgets out there that was for WPMU.

Did you have any specific widgets in mind, I've looked through a good dozen or so and every one only lists the sites, not new posts on each site.

The first wasn't what I wanted, but the second, at least at first blush, looked good, but it's only working on my top-level blog, displaying new posts on secondary blogs, but on the secondary blogs, it won't display anything. The heading shows up, no blog posts appear beneath it.

Yes! I have the same issue as BitchSpot. I thought I was doing something wrong. Does it only work for top-level blog? Anyone know?

    Cheers!

Good news! I emailed Daniel the developer about it and he fixed the issue! There's a new update to the widget.

Yup, just got it updated today, it works beautifully now. Thanks to the developer for fixing the issue, now it does exactly what I need it to do.
