   Hey there,

   I'm pretty new to the WP world, and I'm afraid I didn't see info on this issue.

   I'm creating a category, and wanting to list posts under the category. When a create a post, it creates an incredibly invalid link that looks like this: http://mysite.com/http:/mysite.com/areapetstores

   It's obvious that the link is messed up, and I don't see a way of fixing it. Is there a setting that I'm overlooking somewhere?

   do you have a url in permalinks field?
   dashboard - settings - permalinks
   if so, that's a no-no
