Hello, I've written a new plugin which adds an identifier to the end of the title of private posts.

I like that the new 2.X shows private posts on the main page when you are logged in, but I hated that they weren't indicated as such. So this plugin adds the words ' - Private' or an image to the end of the title.

You can get it from My Site

I've updated my plugin to version .5

This new version adds lots of new features.

The biggest one is a management page for all private posts. This page is listed under the "Manage" admin menu and is caleld "PrivatePosts" this page allows you to view all the private posts and to mass update them to change them to Public posts.

I've also added a function called "show_private_posts()" which you can see in action on the left menu bar under "Recent Privates". This function uses the WordPress options of "Posts Per Page" and "What to Show" to show the most recent private posts. If there are no private posts it will not print anyting (Not even the header).

Lastly, I've made some updates to the original function of this plugin, I've added a variable called the '$Private_Indicator' which makes it easy to change what the main page indicator is. IE, you can change it to an img, etc.

You can find the new plugin here.

    Happy Hacking! :D

I've updated the plugin to use an options page to set the options instead of making you change the php page. This should assist in the mess of the img src confusion.

    You can find it here.

I've update this plugin again to generate an RSS feed of newly published posts.

Be sure to go to the Options page and update your rss-feed.rss location.

It can be found at the normal link.

Hello, great plugin! I was just writing some private posts and WordPress 2.0.3 seems to make them inaccessible aftwards. Thanks for creating the plugin, it saved me a lot of hassle.

I'm wondering what the RSS feed is for? Does WordPress not already come with RSS feed? What is the difference between yours and WordPress'?

Also, is it possible to make the the private posts directly editable rather than just being able to change them to public only? I would like that functionality very much.

    Thanks again.
