Just developed my first plugin. This plugin allows you to add your myspace profile to your wordpress blog and visitors can add you as their friend or visit your myspace profile

Bleh. I dont have curl enabled. Dont work on my site...

it would be a cool feature to add, if you could show your MySpace Friends on your WordPress... Top 24 Friends in a vertical column for the sidebar...
Also it would be awesome if you could cross-post your WP posts into your Myspace Blog automatically

I have updated sw_myspace.php version 0.3. It now checks to use curl, file functions or fsockopen.
Question: could you test it out???

@Dgold, I think a Top friendslist is doable gonna add this to my to-do list. Thanks for your suggestion.

Since you're still improving this... I don't know what is easy or hard... but another idea:
If you could show the "User Is Online" indicator from MySpace, on my WordPress! that would be great

- caching of some sort, now it takes time before the myspace friendslist part is parsed. And I have just checked 4 but with 20 it takes quit a while.

I installed your plugin
went to the plugin's admin to fill in my myspace acct name
but my myspace acct name is 13 letters and your plugin only allowed 12.
Is it a bug or a feature? :-)

Dude you are on a roll! Can we donate some $$ for your efforts?
Let's face it, a lot of us have a myspace page, and for whatever reason, we can't get rid of it and force folks to our own blogs. (Most of the people I know on myspace are not technical). So we are forced to have some co-existence between the two until we can get our friends to technically inclined enough to go to our site instead.

provides a base framework to allow your own custom myspace functions
music player extraction
ability to extraction info with friend id / user url

tokens are extracted automatically
maintains navigation and page history
probably more, but i'm more concerned with the features being worked on now - which are:
bulletins
profile editing
blog editing
friend requesting
comments display
