I would like to announce the addition of my new plugin to the directory.

    http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/gocodes/

Have you ever had to give someone a shortened version of a URL? Maybe you’re a podcaster, and you need to say “visit mydomain.com/2008/01/03/my-post-with-a-long-url/ for more info.” Wouldn’t it be useful if you could just say “go to mydomain.com/go/mycoolpost/ ?” Sure, you could use a service like tinyurl.com, but that’s still not too great if you need the URL for a podcast. It’s still awkward to read-out “tinyurl.com/27asr9,” isn’t it? It’s less professional too. GoCodes lets you create shortcut URLs to anywhere on the internet, right from your WordPress Admin. Whether you need it for podcasting, printed publications, or affiliate programs, GoCodes will do the job for you.

Marvelous idea indeed! How about making it able to convert multiple links at one like this: http://defensive-pro.org/links/batchlink.php

Also, how about adding "no of clicks in the title tag", for e.g:

    <a href="http://foo.com" title="4 clicks">foo.com</a>

    when someone clicks the link.

Can't get this to work. It installed fine and I was able to add a key, but when I go to http://www.myblog.com/go/mykey/ I just get the custom 404 error page.

Whoops! I did not follow the directions and do step 3 to modify my .htaccess file. It works now, thanks for a great plugin!

Has anyone had any problems from a scalability stand point with this plugin? I'm an affiliate marketing and thinking about using, but want to make sure it can handle 1000s of links....
