Where do the search results load? Do they load in the original window?
Yes. It takes you to codex search page, or if there are any matches to an article title, it takes you directly there
I’ve just poked out a small update for users of the Tiger Admin Theme. . The search bar is positioned at the bottom of the page next to the WP logo.
Will you be expanding to search the forums, too?
A new version of the plugin is out, and this one is smoking hot! The results are displayed within the blog and it now searches the Codex and this forum. Check out the screenshot
Now for the icing on the cake, how about writing that so I can simply use it in the search bar in FF 😉

miklb, righteyo. I don’t think I could do that (I tried once), but if anyone else could that would be sweeeet.
Anyhoo, Version 1.3.1 is out. Really fixes Safari problems, and does a lot of cleaning on the results, making them much more readable. Check the screenshot again!
F’ing awesome plugin. Thanks! 😀
Great site too. *thumbs up*
Is it configurable? Maybe I want more results from the Codex and less from the Forums…..

I’m completely new to wordpress, working my way through the documentation at the moment and installed this plugin after it being recommended in the First Steps document.
I’m guessing it’ll be very handy, but the added search box seems to cover up some links in the top right hand corner. Is there a quick fix for this?
Cheers
