New page design

Alright, I know all you are probably just going to tell me to look through forums and use premade templates but I really just need help with this…

I’m completely starting fresh with my site. I’ve made dubsatchcollective.com and it just got to out of wack and I want it to be cleaner and more so what I want it to be, not what templates have to offer.

So I bought dubsatch.com to start fresh. I’m looking to make the home page just show a video and have a picture link to my blog and a picture link to the rest of the site. What is the first step into making this happen?

I haven’t worked on a site for years so I don’t remember anything to do with creating a site or page.

how do I add a picture to show you what I want??
