This came out nice; good work. The color scheme looks good, and that logo is pretty cool; good use of a sprocket. My only crit is the brown (wooden?) border/background surrounding the content…it just doesn’t look right and my eyes keep focusing on it, when it should focus on the center, the content, the meat…Plus, it doesn’t fade as it goes vertically, the lines just stop. Other than that, it looks pretty pro. Keep on.
nice, I have a 1920×1080 screen and the background wallpaper does not fit.. Not a big deal, but an oversight non the less.
Quite a nice design; one the best designs that I’ve come across so far on here. You have a few validation errors, but that’s a minor detail (unless validation was one of your major prerogatives, of course).
Thanks, all. The content-wrap background is actually “cracked earth” texture (same as in my sidebar slideshow). I’ve used it so often on all of the club’s material that I have become blind to it. Looking at it again, I can see your point that it looks like wood. Maybe if I make the texture smaller it will be more recognizable.
Background image: Yes, I need to repeat it I guess, but I just hate the misaligned tile effect it would give. maybe I can come up with another alternative.
Validation Errors: I managed to get the validation errors from 10 down to three. And the three remaining are from the Search box widget, and the AddThis plugin. Do any of you know how to solve validation errors thrown by plugins?
