Subtle, but nice. I like the navigation menu update as well. Oh, and the blue/black WordPress logo is good, too.
Keep up the good work, guys!
Craig.

Yeah, been back and forth all day, just activated. Looks pretty cool. I'm thinking about going to a simplier, hierarchical menu structure... but I need some kind of linked subcategories to do it programmatically... we'll see. ;)
=d
Opera? What's Opera? ;)
LOL.
Craig
Thanks Moose!
If you look at the source the menu structure is now better in that the submenu is embedded under the menu item above it, as opposed to before where I had two completely seperate lists with no semantic relation between them.
I'll look at it in Opera and try to fix up whatever CSS is throwing it for a loop.

there is nothing wrong with the css i suppose. just need to fix some spaces/paddings to prevent the overlapping.
and whats Opera?
It's the fastest browser available as of now. PERIOD. :)
Test it to believe it!
Sushubh,
I have installed the free version of Opera 7. I still prefer the simplicity of Firebird over Opera, and even over Mozilla. When I open Moz and Opera, I feel like my senses are assualted--there is so much going on all over the place. I don't doubt that the browser performs as you say it does. Oh, as well, the day I have to pay for a browser is the day I will walk away from the Internet forever! :)
Craig.
Hey now ... the bottom of the front page says, "WORDPRESS 0.73". ;)
GFM <-- notes that the forum says .71 :D

Than you would not be buying LongHorn it seems. Coz then you will be buying the latest version of MS IE with it as it will not be available as a free upgrade! Stay with IE6 or buy a new version is the MS Mantra...
I would not mind paying for a software that performs tons time better than the free alternative. Thats what Opera is... :) It's not backed by a multi billion dollar corp nor its a browser made by people working for free in their free time. Its made by people who work hard for what they do and work full time on it. So, they deserve to be paid...
gfmorris, updated to reflect the upcoming version. :)
WordPress 0.80!
What new can we expect?
looking good guys. :D
ooo, .80. I want to use it, but I'm afraid I'll break my site. ;)
Paying for browsers... Isn't everyone doing themselves the favor of using Firebird?!
Some talked abt FireBird vs. Opera? Heh heh...
http://nontroppo.org/test/why2.html
Here is a doc that made mozilla guys to remove http://nontroppo.org/test/why_original.html from their server... :)
YHBT. YHL. HAND.
now knock it off with the browser wars, it's not productive.
This fixes Opera but makes the submenus in IE have a little gap from the main menu. All in all it looks ok on both.
#menu #submenu {
display: block;
font-variant: normal;
left: 50%;
margin-left: -300px;
position: absolute;
top: 98px; (from top: 91px;)
width: 570px;
font-size: .8em;
}
there you go guys, do this favor for me :)...

When ever a new version of software is coming out the developers always install it before they release it. Its basicly so that when released the general public can already have seen and used the software (sometimes).
Hope that helps gfmorris.

Bump...
Can any developer around here take a look at Liquibyte's Code modification?
It actually wasn't a problem with the postioning of the submenu, it was because UNLIKE EVERY OTHER BROWSER Opera needs padding: 0; on a page in additon to margin: 0;. Opera is an alright browser, but it does have some very significant bugs and it's not perfect. Look what it does to my blog.
We need some updated to the Dev Blog. I know you guys know what's going to be in it. At least some of the things. So tell us!
And can we have a button with the new wp logo?
Dev-blog updated hailing more of Matt's great work. :)
Cool -- great to hear the updates! Hope as cleanup is done, there's documentation of the changes to WP, as those of us working on major overhauls/hacks need to be able to hand-do some changes in order to then properly re-merge the latest from CVS... ;)
=d
Can someone post the RSS feed for the Dev Blog??
Thankyou...
