My blog is a paired down install of K2 - everytihng is still intact under the hood, but different elements have been moved around. The rolling archives is great for a photoblog, both in speed and ease of use for browsing.

Let me know what you think! Particularily how it looks in your browser (I designed with IE7 and FF).

It's horribly dark in Opera, cool design though

Yes, I agree that it's very dark. Gives it a somber mood, if that's what you're going for.

The transitions are nice, and it's very simple and clean.

    I like it a lot.

I can see where the dark comments are coming from, but I like that about it. Neat site!

It's a really great photoblog template and very easy to navigate. I like the 'moody' look but I'm less keen on the green/gray colour which surround the photos as, personally, I think it detracts a little from your mono shots - that's just me, though ;) I would also prefer it if the archives came up as thumbnails, rather than a list of shots but I have to hand it to you - it's a great photo site. Good job!

Thanks for all the input - the photos are shown as thumbnails - just check out the Gallery section.

Combined Gallery and Archive to make the content choices a little clearer. Also changed the colours around a little bit, and a few other things here and there.

It's looking very good indeed and I do like the small colour tweaks that you made. A really, really, minor point ... I'm not sure that a casual viewer would be aware that they could comment by hovering over the photo title. It's getting late though and I may have missed the blindingly obvious ;)

I'm working on a solution for that, not sure what yet - but it will be addressed in the near future. Thanks for all of the comments.

Bleak, very bleak. I can't see $#!%, it's so bloody dark.

Can you see the pictures - because you know, that's what the site is all about. The design is muted for a reason.

Very dark for this firefox user too...the text at the top is barely readable. I know you're going for an understated view, but this might be a little bit too dark.

what plug in did you use to create the ajax effect?

It's a modification of the K2 theme. The ajax is built in.

Alright I'm getting some mixed reviews about the darkness of the site. The links at the top are #555555 - which in all honesty should be plenty visible for everyone. Right?

Looks very very nice on my laptop monitor, certainly like the darkness, wouldn't change it from what I see at this end ;)
