• Hi
I have just created a new blog at http://blog.jennysholisticpathways.com and am trying to install relevant plugins. I have tried to “add new – upload – install”, I have downloaded the plugin and unzipped and then tried to load to wp-content>plugins via my ftp and even though I can see them listed on the server the plugins don’t show up under plugins on the dashboard.
If I try using search/install or the ‘upload/install” this is the error message:

    Downloading install package from http://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/clean-contact.zip.

    Unpacking the package.

    Installing the plugin.

    Could not create directory. /misc/37/000/178/621/3/user/web/blog.jennysholisticpathways.com/wp-content/plugins/clean-contact/

    Plugin Install Failed.

    Please can someone help?
    Many thanks
    Dii

  • try chmod 777 on /wp-content and /plugins
    try the auto install
    should work
    chmod folders back to 755
    should work correctly after this

    Hi Samboll
thanks for the quick reply. Only just got a chance to try it now.
The auto install still won’t work but I have been able to upload one via ftp (quick-adsense) which is now showing on the dashboard. In the ftp server window it shows the other directories I have uploaded but they are not showing up on the dashboard. Could it have something to do with the theme (Suffusion 3.1.5 by Sayontan Sinha)?

    thanks again
    Dii
