New install on Windows Server 2003, now 404 not found (3 posts)

Our new host has Windows Server 2003, so I'm migrating from a Linux/Apache install to Win/IIS. The host does not support one-click, I had to download, unzip, ftp to the new site.

I installed everything in the root, htdocs, so that looks identical to my previous install. Config.php is also in the root.

When I type in the ip address, http://64.78.2.128, that results in a 404 not found. If I add the id of a page, http://64.78.2.128/?page_id=75, it comes up fine. I uploaded a file to check the PHP/MySql install, that looks fine to my eyes. http://64.78.2.128/phpinfo.php

The admin site works just fine too. I've used my host's proprietary control panel to open up permissions at the root and all subfolders. I don't have access to IIS or php.ini.

    Any ideas? I've exhausted mine.

  2. Might have something to do with lack of mod rewrite?:

Hmmm, This looks like something I need to convince the host to implement, as I don't have direct access to their server. I'll let support know it exists and see what they say.
