    Constant Vigilance. At this point I don't see any other solution.

    2- A new .htaccess is created (or modified) to load a new php file:

    Oh yeah that's occurred to me. Probably inevitable. It's pretty obvious at this point that shared hosting doesn't offer this kind of security and intrusion monitoring round the clock for those of us using WordPress.

    Before I even transfer I am going to have to find a professional to examine every piece of code in our project to make sure there are no back doors or other time bombs ticking away waiting to go off.

    I don't want to risk moving an infected or compromised project to another host just as a matter of simple ethics and integrity.

    Any leads would be appreciated as to who I could contact to go about getting this accomplished.
