I've read the page on moving to a new host (backup/restore/config) at: http://codex.wordpress.org/Moving_to_a_new_domain_/_server. Just wondering however, if i should do a new install on my new host, or if i should just copy my existing WP directories, (and then do i need to run upgrade.php again?)
The domain name is not changing, only the host.
    Thanks.

Just moved myself and I copied my existing WP directories since I had a lot of plugins and smaller hacks. Would take a while to figure them all out and implement them to a new installation.

I used the guides that Podz made, you can see them here:

As seen there, no need to run upgrade.php.

Worked out fine and it was done within 30 minutes or so. My WP installation worked to 99% after the move, all I had to do was reactivate some plugins.
