    Hello,

I want to make my wordpress be open for other users. I have checked "anyone can register" and set new default role to "contributor". During installation I have created one user - "admin", who is administrator.

Problem occurs, when another new user registers (e.g. "user02") - when he logs in, I see, he is not logged as user02 but as admin ("Howdy, admin")! So it is not even possible to log in as user02.

Can anyone help? You can try it on this demo installation (you can register as new user): http://wp.komplementarni-medicina.cz/wp-login.php

    Thank you very much!

Do you use any plugin (such as role scoper or similar) that could cause the to overwrite the default role of contributers etc.?

Well, I found the solution - problem was in activated plugin, which had nothing to do with roles, it changes cookie default path (http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/root-cookie/).
Thank you very much for your attention!

    Hello Wizziee,

I've pushed an update for root-cookie, and responded to your other thread -> http://wordpress.org/support/topic/plugin-root-cookie-multiple-users-login

    Cheers,
    Nick
