Ok, I have entered into the word of hosting & blogging but without much programming knowledge and am confident this forum will lead me to right places.

I have purchased hosting with GoDaddy and I have installed WordPress but I have NO idea where do I access the WordPress Dashboard from in GoDaddy or in WordPress.org so I can -

Import from WordPress.com and Export to WordPress.org and play around with our websites.

Current website in question is http://www.theurbanmen.com

Any pointers will be highly appreciated.

PS: I am an Networking & Hardware guy but have never delved into programming or web-design beyond using wordpress.com dashboards so please know I am quick to learn but can't find the ropes to begin and follow :-(

PS2: Those who hate GoDaddy, I understand, please be kind to me, I am with them and all I seek is practical guidance not judgement on my choice. :-)

    Cheers

    Szeb

Sorry I should have been more clear and given correct website - my bad.

    1) Hosting = Godaddy
    2) Application = WordPress 3.2.1 via wordpress.org
    3) Website = http://www.szebastian.com
    4) DNS = pointed to GoDaddy

I know the basic wordpress dashboard and how to use it - but I do not know - how do I use my hosting to install new Themes, Templates, Widgets which are not part of standard wordpress theme & widget provided by default?

Should I be doing that via wordpress.com or wordpress.org?

I am worried that I may have been for hosting a lot and not knowing how to use FTP etc could mean a lot of money wasted :-(

    HELP!

Widgets come with wp, some themes and some plugins. I think you might be actually looking for a plugin, http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/

Was there a particular function you needed?

You need to install the wordpress software at godaddy and then redirect your domain from the .com version to your new hosted version.
