   Hello

   Every time someone comments on a post the post disappears from the front page meaning we have to edit again. Apologies if this question has been asked before. Any ideas please?

   Give more details: what exactly do you have to edit? Where the post "goes"? What is changed - its status, its date... or what?

   when a comment is written about a post, the post disappears from the front page and we then have to return to edit the page and check the 'show on front page' box every time. The post does not change simply 'moves' from the front page. is there any way that the post can remain on the front page after a comment has been left?

   That's not a standard WP thing. It must be a plugin or some kind of custom thing. Talk to the people who set it up like that or with the plugin author...
