[resolved] Never received message, but says it was sent. (6 posts)

    I've set up Contact Form 7, and it looks like it's working, but when I submit a sample contact form message, I don't get an email.

    (I do get the green outlined "Your message has been sent successfully." message.)

    The email is definitely valid. I disabled Jetpack.

    Any ideas?

    PS--I'm sending it to a gmail account, so I can't check my logs.

    But it doesn't appear in the spam folder either.

    Same problem here, never had this problem before and I've used this plugin a lot. Any solutions yet?

    Spam filters are often the culprit in situations such as described. Try changing the sent do address to a different mail account and test.

    I use my outlook.com account for this purpose.

    Okay, I sorted it out. Dreamhost only allows dreamhost emails to send. Emails were getting bounced.

    If you change the SENDER to your own domain, it will capture it. However, it will not allow you to reply to the email, which is not a big problem.

    And this solution will only work if Dreamhost is hosting your site. (Although it's possible another hosting service has a similar limitation.)
