    Hello,

using Your plugin I unfortunately have two major issues:
    - Attached Images don't show up in the editscreen-metabox.
    - When I try to attach new Media by clicking "Attach" and uploading them, they appear as "unattached" in the media library. When I manually attach them afterwards, they still don't show up in the editscreen metabox (first issue again).

I have checked the correct post-type checkbox in the configuration and tried both, "Set the post_parent when Attachments are saved" enabeld and disabled.

I am using WP 3.4.2 and a custom Post Type.

    Thanks in advance!

Edit: I have just taken a look into the plugin code and it seems to me that the attachments_get_attachments() determines attached media by the _attachments post-meta-value. I have not entirely workend myself into the code but shouldn't attachments be determined by pulling those posts WHERE post_type = attachment AND post_parent = $post_id? Because manually attaching images to posts does not change the post meta but only adds a post and sets the parent.

Please correct me in case I have misunderstood the purpose of this plugin.

Hello, I think there may be some misunderstanding with what this plugin does. In version 1.6 there's an option on the settings screen to set the Post Parent when attaching items, but as of WordPress 3.5 that concept ('attached to' when viewing Media) is no longer as prominent as it once was. You mentioned activating that setting which only sets the post_parent for an Attachment if there wasn't one there in the first place (to avoid conflicting with WordPress core behavior) but if they're still showing up as unattached there may be another issue somewhere. The 'Set post_parent' option has been deprecated in version 3.0 of the plugin.
