Need to speed up my ecommerce website

    Hello,

    I notice my live site is slow compared to the local developed site.

    Pingdom gives a grade of 78/100 and get_num_queries shows
    <!–8263 queries in 4,924 seconds.–> vs <!– 193 queries in 1,562 seconds.–> on my localhost.
    With 80% same content (live version has just a bit more).

    How can i check where the queries are triggered and how i can speed up wordpress.

    FYI: i also notice the page “holds/freezes” and after x secs it loads quickly. Is the amount of queries the problem??
