I built my site a long time ago and didn’t do anything with it. I want to go back to it, but can’t log in admin. I don’t have the login or password anymore and the e-mail that it was registered under has changed. How the heck can I get back in?

It can be manually changed by poking around in the database. See if this makes any sense to you: http://codex.wordpress.org/Resetting_Your_Password#Through_phpMyAdmin

I guess it’s here I also mention that working directly on the database can cause a lot of trouble.

Do you have something like phpMyAdmin? If so, check out this tutorial on password resetting: http://www.tamba2.org.uk/wordpress/phpmyadmin/

Those are for passwords only, right? I’m don’t think I have the right login either – is it the site name, admin? Is it possible to re-register?

My old login for the WP site works and I edited it to my new e-mail, but that didn’t seem to help.
